RHCF is always welcoming and excited to host volunteers at our Mubende office. We have hosted volunteers of all ages from around the world, from individuals wanting to make a difference to groups from established organizations. A wide variety of opportunities are available for volunteers, depending on background, interest, and experience. Some possible volunteer activites include:
Providing various counseling services to community members;
Helping with the medical needs of the orphaned children, people infected with HIV/AIDS, etc.;
Assisting with fundraising, including the identification of potential donors or sponsors;
Teaching as a co-teacher in primary schools;
Becoming a friend to an orphaned child, which includes visiting the child in the home or at school, taking the child out on the weekends, as well as many other activities;
Aiding in administration work in our offices;
Training farmers in sustainable agricultural practices;
Preparing quarterly volunteer newsletters; and
Participating in construction work.
No special experience is needed - just enthusiasm and a love for community! Skills that could be valuable include teaching, counseling, nursing, construction, agricultural management, and many others.
